A 2009 Jaguar X-Type station wagon is up for auction in the UK. The inconspicuous family car has an interesting history – it was driven by Queen Elizabeth II. Details of the car were revealed on the website of the auction house.

Although there were much more expensive models in the garage of Elizabeth II, she often used middle-class cars for everyday driving. The Queen decided to buy a Jaguar X-Type in 2009 – the car became an addition to her beloved Land Rover Defender.

The Jaguar X-Type station wagon also appealed to Queen Elizabeth II, partly because the large trunk was suitable for carrying royal corgis. Especially for dogs, a fastening net and a cover appeared there. Her Majesty has been photographed driving a Jaguar more than once.

The car of the Queen of Great Britain is painted in her favorite green color, and the interior is trimmed with leather and wood. Options include climate control, a panoramic roof and power seats.

It should be noted that the Jaguar X-Type at one time was not considered a luxury car – it was the initial model of the brand. To reduce the cost, it was built on the basis of the mass Ford Mondeo.
