Toyota Corolla
This car started being sold back in 1966. That said, the Japanese company has been constantly working on upgrades. As a result, in 2018 the 12th generation of the legendary car was released. The Toyota Corolla doesn’t have powerful engines, any special features or a very striking exterior. The model is interesting in another way – it has set a number of significant records in its history. Firstly, the Toyota Corolla is ‘the world’s most popular car. Secondly, in 2005 the model made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
Ford Mustang
This car debuted even earlier than the Japanese sedan. The first copies of Ford Mustang started to assemble in 1964. Interestingly, the car has gone through a lot of modifications and is still on sale. Ford Mustang can be called a true classic of the car industry – you can trace different eras of the industry by it. From a classic car to a powerful sports car, and now there is an electric version.
Porsche 911
There is no doubt that this car can be called the most legendary sports car. Its premiere took place in 1963, and the model became an instant success. One of the features of the car and at the same time the merit of the entire Porsche team is that the sports car has always remained recognizable and at the same time received the most modern technology.
AC Shelby Cobra 427
This car is a true legend not only because of its features but also because of its amazing history. The creator of this car, Carroll Shelby, went through the war and then started racing. After a career as a pilot, Carroll began designing cars. Shelby began importing a British roadster into the US, but decided to replace the standard engine with a 427 V8. Thus the legendary AC Shelby Cobra 427 was born. The engine’s power reached 520 hp, which was really fantastic for the middle of the last century. The AC Shelby Cobra 427 took only 13.2 seconds to cover a quarter of a mile. Even though production ended in 1967, the car can be considered a true legend.
Ferrari 250 GTO
Ferrari supercars have always been very expensive. But the Ferrari 250 GTO from 1963 is capable of surprising indeed. A total of 39 of these cars were produced, and the cost of one of the copies reached $53 million. However, it is difficult to earn the title of a legend for the price tag alone. Interestingly enough, the purchase of the car had to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari.
